Wheelbarrow - Beer - Barrel Race in Niederkassel

Tulip Sunday is the day the fun starts in the suburbs especially in Niederkassel.

A generation party perfectly mixed and combined with the Jesters, Carnival clowns and the Carnival-apprentices celebrated with the help of the Wheelbarrow Beer-barrel Race which first started over 100 years ago.

A real tradition!

The Dads with a beer in the hand, Mum has a chance to gossip with friends and new acquaintances, and the kids hunt the bountiful confectionary which is tossed from the wagons.

This function is organised by the “Tonnengarde Niederkassel, first registered in 1887
